Introduction to Common Owner

Common Owner is a website that facilitates investments in private businesses and real estate development projects through online crowdfunding.

From 1933 until 2017 these types of investments were severely restricted by complicated federal policy. These restrictions made it so that, in most cases, only people in the top 10% of incomes could freely invest in most businesses or real estate projects.

Recently, changes in policy have allowed anyone to invest in businesses and real estate projects.

Common Owner enables businesses and real estate projects to offer business ownership to the general public in exchange for funding. We allow online investment opportunities open to anyone through equity and debt crowdfunding. Some investment opportunities will be limited to the top 10% of incomes.

The goal is to build personal and community wealth, however returns are not guaranteed as investing is risky.

Introduction to Common Owner

This website, commonowner.com, which we refer to as the “Site,” is used by two different companies: Common Owner Portals LLC, which we refer to as “Common Owner Portals,” and Common Owner CF LLC, which we refer to as “Common Owner CF.” Common Owner Portals lists investments in real estate development projects and other small businesses under Rule 506(c) of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These investments are offered to accredited investors only. Common Owner CF, which is, or has applied to become, a licensed Funding Portal, offers investments in real estate development projects and other small businesses under Regulation Crowdfunding, which is also known as Title III Crowdfunding. These investments are offered to everyone. Common Owner Portals and Common Owner CF are owned by the same business entities.

Our Site offers qualified investors the opportunity to invest in real estate development projects and other small businesses.
